Our Headquarters office is seeking a Member Services Associate to coordinate services with our clients, community partners, and healthcare providers. If you are a caring, dedicated professional who possesses strong communication skills and a true desire to help others, this is the position for you!

In this role, you will interact with members and families, referral sources, BLP counselors and clinicians, and members of the local healthcare community. You will be a resource for members and community partners by answering general questions, troubleshooting issues, and addressing cases. You will ensure that daily operations of the program are running smoothly through scheduling, coordination, and troubleshooting. Your important work will allow members to receive quality care in their communities in order to make a better life within reach.

Responsibilities for Member Services Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrating and communicating the core values of Better Life Partners; Love, Act, Partner, Advocate, and Grow.
  • Answering phone calls, text messages, and emails, as well as addressing work tickets, throughout the day as they arrive in a timely manner.
  • Working as the go-between for Members and our Medical Providers and Counselors to schedule same-day appointments where availability exists between both parties.
  • Rescheduling members for makeup meetings and coordinating with our Medical Management team to ensure no disruption of service or prescriptions.
  • Coordinating meetings over Zoom between our Members and Medical Providers or Counselors.
  • Working with our other teams on individual issues that may arise with our members.
  • Reviewing and updating member and care provider requests within our proprietary EMR system.
  • Handling records requests and releases of information while ensuring the confidentiality of our Members and within the regulations of 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
  • Using judgment and discretion to effectively handle any additional Member services, and efficiently manage Provider or Counselor caseloads.

Qualifications for a Member Service Associate:

  • Must be able to work the shifts of Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm (Eastern Time).
  • Experience working in a call center environment with inbound and outbound calls is required
  • Passion for working in a healthcare field, previous experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders is a plus
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn, be flexible, and assist office staff as needed
  • Excellent time management and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptionally strong work ethic
  • Team player with an “all hands on deck” attitude, organized/able to multitask
  • Must have proven experience working effectively in a remote work environment
  • Bilingual ability is a plus but not required

Location:

This position is fully remote (work from home). Preference will be given to candidates who reside in states we currently have active team members in. These states include:

Work from home requirements:

  • Must have internet service with minimum upload/download ability.
  • Company will provide equipment (laptop, monitor) plus a remote work stipend.
  • Must have a quiet space to speak to members with minimal background noise.
  • Must understand the importance of protected health information and ensure any data/information is not visible to others.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The starting range for this position is $18.53 - $25.00 per hour.
