Commodity Forwarders is looking for a full time Customer Service Agent to fill a position within our Operations department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate between $18 - $32/hr. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Los Angeles Branch.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday between 8:30 AM - 5 PM; after 3 months of probation period, weekend rotational will be added to shift.
Your Role:
- Processing international export documents
- Booking air space with airlines
- Communicating status of booking with customers
- Proactively track and trace freight movement and keep our customers updated
- Be responsive to other department and station requests
- Work directly with warehouse and drivers to ensure our customers' needs are met
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the US and pass TSA background check
- 1 year of customer service experience
- 1+ year of logistics experience is preferred
- Export airfreight background is a plus
- Basic computer skills including e-mail, web browsing, outlook, excel and word.
